Who We Are

What is ARKSS ?

ARKSS is the acronym of Asom Rajyik Samannay Samiti. It was setup in 1995 as a non-political, non-Government Organisation. This NGO is the pioneer in the field of development of agro-system by initiating training management, scientific & systematic economic planning, field survey, financial assistance, organization of marketing system for the farmers & educated youths for generation of self-employment. The Samiti shall implement projects of agro-based system with modern & latest scientific farming technology to make the human resources economically self dependent through honest work culture.

What is the structure of ARKSS ?

ARKSS is registered NGO under the aegis of Farm & Societies Act XXI of 1860. It has a central advisory body comprising senior officials of the Govt. of Assam & eminent personalities with substantial experience in the field of agricultural sector, social welfare & in allied areas. The Vice Chancellor AAU is the chairperson of the central advisory body. There is a Central Executive Committee headed by the Chairman with 10 executive members. The Secretary-in-Chief of Central Executive Committee shall control & manage all the functions of the Samiti.

Organisation Structure

Patron : Person with high status and responsibility worked in Central / State Govt. of institution.
Legal Advisor : There will be one legal Advisor. All judicial matter will be settled in Guwahati High Court only.
Chief Advisor : There will be a Chief Advisor. He will look after all administrative, management and technical matters of the society.
Central Executive Committee (CEC) : The CEC will consist of following 7 (seven) members. The outstation members will be representative of 2 (two) District Co-Ordinators and 2 (two) Block Presidents.

Central Working Committee (CWC) : The Central Working Committe (CWC) will consist of following members.
1. Chairman / Vice Chairman
2. Secy.-in-Chief
3. Secy.Information and Public Relation
4. Secy.Human Resources Development
5. Block representatives from ten Blocks of selected District for a term as decided by CEC. Disrict Co-Ordinators will he called as and when necessary.
District Co-Ordinator : One member as District Co-Ordinator for every Districts.
Block Management Committee (BMC) : The BMC will consist of nine members with three members one from each of three primary units. These three members will be changed after each term of BMC.

4. Assistant Secretary (Marketing)
5. Assistant Secretary (Information and Public Relation)
6. Assistant Secretary (HRD)
7. Member (3 members from 3 Primary units)

Primary Unit (PU)

The PU will consist one member each from working groups at field level having work ability and leadership. There will be one Unit President and Unit Secretary among them. Some of the PU's will form SHGs to develop them into self employment and self dependent groups.
